Argentinian artist, composer and trumpet player Santiago Bartolomé creates immersive sonic worlds where sound, architecture and perception dissolve into one another. Through his ongoing project Epojé, Bartolomé invites audiences into temporary environments shaped by vibration, movement, electronics and spatial listening.
Part installation, part live performance and part sensory exploration, Epojé transforms space itself into an instrument. Built as an ephemeral structure designed for both internal and external exploration, the work creates shifting acoustic environments where sound behaves differently depending on movement, position and proximity. Trumpet, electronics and environmental textures merge into hypnotic sonic landscapes that feel both intimate and disorienting.
Bartolomé’s artistic practice moves fluidly between experimental music, contemporary art and immersive performance. Alongside his work as founder of the Córdoba Music Biennial and performances at international festivals such as Burning Man, MUTEK and Colours of Ostrava, he has steadily developed a unique language centered around what he describes as a “quest for sound” — using acoustic and electronic vibration to reshape the listener’s perception of space and reality.
At Tromsø World 2026, Santiago Bartolomé & Epojé transforms Storgata Camping into a temporary world of resonance, atmosphere and deep listening — an experience designed to be entered, wandered through and felt physically.
