TROMSO WORLD: DIGITAL BROCHURE

Welcome to TROMSØ WORLD 2025!

For me, this festival has always been about more than music. It’s about those moments when a melody cuts straight through the cold, when strangers share a rhythm, and when Tromsø feels like the most connected place on earth.

And I don’t want to repeat myself, but maybe now, more than ever, I need to do that. The world feels shaky, full of noise and division. That’s why it matters to gather — to listen to each other, to understand, and to celebrate both our differences and what we share.

We bring the world here and we show the world that we have here — not with borders and passports, but with voices, drums, strings, and stories. And every year, I’m amazed at how you — the artists, the volunteers, our partners, and the audience — turn it into something unforgettable.

So thank you for being part of this journey. Let’s listen and remind each other what respect, joy, and community sound like — right here, under the northern sky.

Let’s dance together!

With love,
Vasil Gjuroski
Festival Director

Tromsø World 2025 music program

INDUS (Colombia)

Why are they coming to Tromsø?
Someone needed to crank up the bass and bring the jungle to the Arctic. Indus mixes ancestral Afro-Colombian percussion with acid synths like it’s no big deal — but it is.

Fun fact:
They were supposed to play a small one-off gig. Then the universe said: “Nah, y’all are going global.” And here they are.

You will like them if you like….
Dancing with your eyes closed, chanting in a language you just made up, or Nicolas Jaar going full shaman mode.

What does their music feel like?
It’s not music music — it’s a rhythmic awakening. Think ceremonial rave in the jungle, but with frost on your eyelashes. Bring your body, leave your expectations.

KO SHIN MOON (France)

Why are they coming to Tromsø?
Because their music sounds like what happens when an analog synth and a saz get stuck in a time machine together — and we’re into that.

Fun fact:
They once made a track inspired by a dusty cassette they found in a Tunisian market. It bangs. Trust us.

You’ll like them if you like…
Acid Arab, Altin Gün, that one mysterious record your granpa brought back from Istanbul in the ’70s.

What does their music feel like?
Pure psychedelic teleportation. You’ll dance, drift, and possibly question the linearity of time. Plus, how often do you hear cosmic disco played on an oud?

TRAMHAUS (Netherlands)

Why are they coming to Tromsø?
Sometimes you just need a band that shows up, plugs in, and detonates the room. Tramhaus is chaos, catharsis and charisma — all in one sweaty Dutch package.

Fun fact:
They’ve played sold-out shows from Amsterdam to Tokyo, and still look like your friends who drink too much coffee and read obscure philosophy zines. We love them for it.

You’ll like them if you like…
Post-punk that bites, mosh pits with feelings, or IDLES, Viagra Boys, but in even cooler jackets.

What does their music feel like?
Feels like they don’t play shows — they start fires. The kind that leaves your ears ringing, your heart pounding, and your soul a little cleaner.

What does their music feel like?
