Gangere moves in the borderland between concert, ritual and performance art. Through voice, electronics, movement and immersive sonic structures, the duo creates deeply atmospheric live experiences shaped by repetition, presence and emotional intensity.
Inspired by Sámi traditional music, drone aesthetics and northern musical landscapes in dialogue with global influences, Gangere builds slowly unfolding sound worlds where circular rhythms, layered electronics and powerful vocal expression become tools for transformation and connection.
At the center of the project are vocalist and performer Marita Isobel Solberg and electronic musician/performance artist Charlotte Bendiksen, whose collaboration balances meditative stillness with raw physical force. Their performances are not linear concerts, but continuous journeys designed to draw audiences into altered states of listening, reflection and movement.
Through ritual-inspired structures and immersive audiovisual expression, Gangere creates spaces where inner and outer landscapes meet — where dance, silence, tension and release exist side by side.
At Tromsø World 2026, Gangere presents one of the festival’s most immersive and emotionally resonant performances — an experience rooted in presence, atmosphere and collective energy.
