| RADIO GAZA (Palestine) | Concert: 13:30 – 14:30 Q&A: 14:30 - 15:30 |
Bakrommet, Amtmandens | After two years of relentless genocide in Gaza, we were relieved to hear the news of a ceasefire. However, we now understand more than ever the importance of our work in developing, promoting, and preserving Palestinian cultural and narratives. As Gaza embarks on the process of mourning and rebuilding, the Tromsø-Gaza Twin City Cooperation at Tvibit remains committed to the urgent need to support Palestinians and their voices. We are so proud to bring Radio Gaza to the stage of Tromsø World. Radio Gaza is a powerful musical force, born from the collaboration of acclaimed Palestinian artists from Gaza: the Watar Band, Abu Joury, and singer Moneim Adwan. They are more than a band—they are a cultural revival. They breathe new life into traditional Palestinian songs, reinventing them with the raw energy of rock, the pulse of celebration, and the spirit of activism. In their hands, the ancient oud and bouzouki converse with searing electric guitar, while ancestral percussion merges with modern hip-hop beats. Soaring above it all is Moneim Adwan’s voice—by turns fierce and tender—carrying the stories of a people who refuse to be silenced. Their music is a unique fusion of the poetic, the danceable, and the militant. With profound lyrics and infectious rhythms, every song is an ode to resistance, life, love, and hope. From pop-rock anthems to reimagined folk ballads, Radio Gaza delivers electrifying performances where deep emotion converges with an unyielding call for justice. This event is in collaboration with Tromsø World, Tvibit, Tromsø Kommune, Vennskap Tromsø-Gaza, Palestinakomiteen i Tromsø, Verdensteatret and Arktisk-Film-Norge |

| DANCE PERFORMANCE: NAFAS BY NAVID REZVANI | 14:00 | Nordnorsk Kunst Museum |
Nafas – the Persian word for breath — is a solo dance work that embodies the resilience, defiance, and enduring spirit of Iranian women. Rooted in the chant “Zan, Zendegi, Azadi” (Woman, Life, Freedom), this performance explores breath not only as a symbol of life, but as a quiet act of resistance. Through movement, stillness, and presence, Nafas traces the intimate and collective struggles of women who continue to resist, remember, and rise. Each gesture is a heartbeat, each pause a protest. Inspired by the stories of those who cannot speak freely, Nafas becomes a living memory — a breath carried across generations, refusing to be extinguished. This piece is both an homage and a rebellion: a reminder that as long as we breathe, we fight. |

| KRYPTEN BY VIKTOR BOMSTAD | 15:00 | Tromsø Kunstforening |
Krypten is a new concert series by and with Viktor Bomstad. This is the concert series where no venue is too strange or too scary. Haunted buildings, abandoned factories, and pitch-dark basements are transformed into unique concert spaces with a hauntingly atmospheric touch. Bomstad invites storytellers to share tales of ghosts, restless spirits, sea wraiths, murders, and unexplained events. These stories then set the stage for an improvised concert, where the mood weaves its way into new sonic landscapes. No evening is the same, and each performance becomes a one-of-a-kind experience. With his fever dream-like blend of electronics, guitar, and joik, Viktor Bomstad — described as “the David Lynch of joik” (Rudi Nikolaisen, iTromsø) — draws the audience into a soundscape that is both enchanting and unsettling. This time, Tromsø’s own Stina Fagertun joins the performance. She is an experienced storyteller and cultural communicator, both in Norway and abroad, and was named Norway’s best storyteller in 2011. She has received multiple awards for her work and is also the author of the children’s book Nisse Noppe’s Christmas Adventure. Krypten is presented in collaboration with Sør-Troms Museum, Nord-Troms Museum, and Tromsø Kunstforening — and fittingly, the tour kicks off during Halloween week. ⚠️ Warning: This is not for the faint of heart. |
