Raised musically in Sarajevo through melodic pop-rock, Yugoslav punk and the sharp-edged absurdity of the New Primitivism movement, Zly builds sets that move freely between nostalgia, chaos and total dancefloor release. New wave classics collide with regional folk anthems, punk attitude dissolves into turbo-folk euphoria, and underground gems appear exactly when the room needs them most.
There is no irony-free purity here and no attempt at tasteful restraint. Instead, DJ Zly embraces the contradictions and intensity of Balkan musical culture in all its forms — loud, dramatic, funny and deeply alive.
